Erasures from Katherine Taylor Craig's The Fabric of Dreams: Dream Lore and Dream Interpretation, Ancient and Modern (1918)
When I returned from a year of teaching in France, I brought back a bottle of Gabriel Boudier Crème de Cassis de Dijon -- an alcoholic, blackcurrant syrup that, even when combined with the cheapest (€3!) white wine from the local Intermarché, produced a decent Kir cocktail. I intended to break it out for a special event once back in the States. It's occupied my bookshelf for eight years.
